“The housing market in Liverpool has continued to thrive this year and exceed expectations in 2022. Liverpool is a city that appeals to all kinds of buyers which make the market extremely competitive.
For investors, there are many areas that offer some of the best rental yields in the country. This is primarily down to the city being home to four of the most respected universities which in turn brings us roughly a student population of around 70,000. The areas to consider are primarily Wavertree, Kensington, Toxteth, Aigburth, and City Centre to name a few.
There are also some beautiful locations that are within the catchment of some of the best schools in the city. The most in-demand areas we are finding for families are currently Mossley Hill, Allerton, Calderstones, Childwall, Woolton, and Aigburth. These areas are also well complemented by many shops, bars and restaurants. In addition to stunning parks and excellent transport links.
For first-time buyers looking to get onto the ladder, there are many places to purchase depending on budget. South Liverpool typically commands the higher prices but there are still some hot spots that are perfect for first-time buyers in Garston, Wavertree, Aigburth, and Childwall.
North Liverpool is also extremely popular for first-time buyers and we would recommend looking to purchase around Tuebrook, Fazakerley, Clubmoor, and Aintree with prices in these areas continuing to rise.
Due to this high demand for properties in Liverpool, we are seeing property prices continue to increase throughout the city which makes this an excellent time for sellers to reap the rewards of this competitive market.
