As an estate agent, the nature of our industry has always entailed close contact with members of the public; because of this, we have continuously followed strict standards when it comes to health, hygiene and respect for the properties that we visit. The development of the COVID-19 virus has led to us enhance our due diligence when it comes to health and hygiene, ensuring that we can protect our staff and clients as best we can.

Following government guidelines and NHS advice, we have now closed our offices and are working remotely. However, it’s business as usual at The Venmore Group, albeit with a smaller tea round! Fortunately, technology and social media are providing great assistance to us in continuing to provide expert care and communication throughout, traditional phone calls work as well!

We are offering virtual tours around the properties to safeguard our clients’ homes whilst still providing you with the tools you need to continue your house search. Online valuations are also on offer, if you are looking to put your house on the market.

In preparation for the current circumstances, we have had a strong plan ready to be rolled out for several weeks. Now in play, the plan ensures that:

• We will be available during regular business hours

• We are still contactable on the same numbers and emails with diverts already in place

• We’ll stay in touch through our website and Social Media

Rest assured, our doors may be shut but we will still be very much business as usual, albeit, with our team safely within their own homes and you safely in yours.

We have set up a YouTube channel and our amazing teams have started to go around our properties to take videos where possible as they walk through the property, just as prospective buyers would if they were able to. The link will be uploaded to Rightmove through the ‘Virtual Tour’ button. We will also send this video directly to any active purchaser if your home matches what they are looking for.

What we find over Christmas, New Year and into January is that Rightmove has the highest hits of the year for their website. Their stats skyrocket because more people are at home and when confined to a small space for long periods of time, people want change. So, because of that, we are predicting that we may see a surge in prospective Buyers. Although, as it’s an unprecedented situation, it’s difficult to forecast.
